Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
Agreement
By using this website or engaging African Languages Experts (ALE) for services, you agree to these terms. Where a signed service agreement or statement of work exists, that agreement takes precedence.
Quotes and scope
Quotes are based on the material and requirements you provide and remain valid for 30 days. Changes to scope, volume, file format, or deadline may change the price and delivery date.
Client responsibilities
You confirm that you have the right to send us the content you submit, and that it does not infringe third-party rights. Reference material, glossaries, and prompt feedback help us meet agreed quality and timelines.
Quality guarantee
Our work is carried out by native linguists with subject-matter expertise and reviewed in a multi-step process. If delivered work does not meet the agreed specification, notify us within 14 days of delivery and we will correct it at no additional cost.
Confidentiality and intellectual property
Both parties keep each other’s confidential information private. On full payment, rights in the delivered translation transfer to you; ALE retains rights in its own tools, templates, and translation memories unless otherwise agreed.
Payment and liability
Invoices are payable per the terms stated on the invoice. ALE’s total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the affected project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda.
